There were visions of horror and flashes of pain that often came to the surface of his mind. Conri did his best to drown those memories by pushing them back under but despite his best efforts they still affected him. They itched at the back of his mind, twisting his stomach into knots when he thought about him. He wanted to tell them of the things that he had been through, the things that his brother had done to him, in hopes that perhaps it would ease his own turmoil. It simply just felt like he needed to say, to get it all out. Conri wasn't that selfish though. He wouldn't make his loved one sit through his stories, to hear the things that had happened. He wouldn't make them hurt just because he had been hurt.

Tears threatened to fall from his eyes at the moment he touched her, wiping them away with soft nuzzle that he gave against her neck. For a brief moment he was left wondering if she was alright but before long he felt her arms around him, squeezing him, and the hybrid gave a content, almost purring sound at this. He was silent otherwise as they stood in their embrace, relishing in the warmth that he got from being held by his mother. Eventually her grip loosened and she moved back, touched him again, and Conri leaned into her head. "I was worried about you." He admitted quietly, sparkling jade eyes searching hers. "I was afraid Momma." He said then, seemingly out of nowhere, as he stared at her. Whether he meant his own situation or the thought of her not coming back wasn't clear.
