It had been two days since Saul had visited his brother. He had spent most of his morning run searching the outskirts of Dahlia de Mai, slowing circling inward till he could clearly deduce that Gideon was nowhere but in the house they shared with Conor, Bris and Ascher. And apparently, two other puppies that Saul had previously not known about- Melee and Range Soul. Saul was unsure of what to think on these two- they were biologically related to Conor but Gideon had adopted them as his children, despite being only five or so months older than them. Still, Saul was beginning to feel rather pushed out and left out where his younger brother was concerned. He had only seen glimpses of Ascher since their reunion in Flanders Field two weeks ago and the young Stormbringer was beginning to feel deprived of his family. He wished Shiloh would come home.

He had arisen at the same time this morning as he did every other morning- just as the sun rose over the horizon. Saul had always been an early waker, a lark instead of an owl. He had made his way sleepily down to the river and bathed, as he did every morning. When he'd clambered out, his tawny pelt stuck to his already skinny frame, once more accentuating his lack of fat or muscle in anywhere on his body. Although he was well into his third week back into Dahlia, there was still a lack of muscle to his frame. He looked just a little better than when he had arrived- his coat had gotten a little bit of its shine back to it and his gums were beginning to stain pink instead of deathly white. His assumed anorexia was not of his doing- two months wandering on his own with no hunting skills had reduced him to just a pile of bones and skin, it would take more than two weeks for him to return to his normal size.

He had made his run quick today, to the shore and back. He had paused when his paws sunk into the sandy beach, green eyes shimmering as he gazed out at the small island that was within swimming distance. He wanted to take his brothers there for a picnic when they had all reached the ability to shift. For some reason, he felt very averse to having his adopted niece and nephew come along- he wanted it only to be the three of them. He had spent a few moments gazing out at the island before turning round and heading for home. There had been a new scent in the house for a few nights and Saul wondered who it belonged to. He had already found his brothers dirty little secret. He wondered, briefly, if Ascher had adopted a pet cat or something equally ridiculous. Most of his resentment to the Soul siblings had to do with the fact that Gideon was becoming more independent.

Saul slowed as he came into Wolfville, green eyes gazing down the long stretch of road that dominated the town. On either side of the road, shops littered the veiw. He knew from his exploring that there was a school here and a hospital of sorts. It had sparked into Saul the desire he had had for a while now- he wanted to help people. As he came to a stop in the center of the town, he sat down and gazed around. He needed to lighten up a bit, that was for sure!
