He doesn't have chores? She thought, disconcerted. Wow! And come to think of it, she had expected the stories she had heard to be completely true. Of course, there were certain things that demanded a special care in a pack, but still, she should've known better than assume knowing details she actually had no clue about. At times even she thought she needed to step out of her very own imaginary world into the real one. There were so many differences between the two that she feared she would never get to understand them. However, she had no time to give that much thought since Saul attracted her attention with yet another irresistible distraction.
"Go!" She called and started running, but after a few seconds she spun around and headed straight towards the male. She laughed as she approached him and went right past him, a brisk, almost muffled bark coming from her as she came to a halt. "Why don't we play tag instead?" She had never had the chance to do that with another pup or wolf, for that matter. To put it shortly she knew how it's done, but had no idea how it felt for real.
Apparently, nowhere near boring with such a playful almost grown-up wolf at her side. The fur on her shoulders bristled and she felt her paws prickle with excitement while the earth grew almost hot under her cushions. Her brown eyes were drowned into a light that only enthusiasm itself could generate, it was a light of an impatient and almost reckless youth, that coursed through the entire pup, from head to the tip of her tail. At times it felt like her body was too small to shelter such a great amount of energy. That's how she explained playful outbursts. The surplus had to be consumed somehow or, otherwise, the inner balance of an overexcited pup could've been affected.
Mia approached the male and pressed one front paw on his gently. She looked up at him for a second and then jumped back, barking enthusiastically. "Tag, you're it!" She yelled as she started running once more.
