Kesho's ears were facing fully forward, catching every breath that was uttered by the mangy brute. Hybrid's words raptured the elder coyote, telling him of things he hadn't known, or even heard any mutterings of. They sure had become better at hiding things. His eyes narrowed as he was told of Inferni's victory against a nearby wolf pack, Dahlia de Mai. He wondered what had caused a war between them, let alone two. He couldn't help but smirk as the beast recounted, in very brief and blunt detail, what occurred. Of course Inferni had won; despite its inherent difference from those old days, he believed that the clan was indeed strong, and had immense capability. And this only proved it. However, he couldn't help but wonder what losses the clan had sustained. Surely a battle of the magnitude he described couldn't be won without there being some sacrifice on their part. Or maybe he needed more faith in this strange band of dogs.
"I had no idea. What caused the first war?" He couldn't help but blurt out questions. He wanted to know. "Did we lose any? How were their numbers...?" He inquired, his militant past getting the best of him. "I guess I missed all the fun, then, huh." He stated, tone obviously conveying slight disappointment, malice licking the tips of his words. He truly yearned for combat, for a war like Hybrid described. It was just his luck to have narrowly missed it. Hah! A war, and we won...Amazing. But look at that, Kesho, you weren't a part of it! A voice hissed inside of his head. He shook it away with ease, returning his attention to the hybrid coywolf beside him.
"So, it wouldn't be the wisest choice to take a jaunt over their way, then, eh?" He grinned, speaking of Dahlia's territory. Of course, he had no intention of traversing that land alone, but the idea of its intimidating danger intrigued him.
