Hybrid was surprised this male was so interested in learning of Inferni’s past. Hybrid had not yet met anyone who was able to appreciate the violence that had once ruled these lands. Hybrid smirked when Kesho questioned Hybrid on the outcome of the murder of the mother and her child. He was surprised again when the coyote expressed his displeasure at having missed the fighting. Certainly, Hybrid would have regretted missing such a momentous war; but he never thought this weird coyote would too. His first impression had been that this coyote was an idiot, and Hybrid was usually quite a good judge of character. He was surprised to see this strange coyote had such a wealth of bloodthirst. He would be the kind of role model Inferni needed in these dark times.

Hybrid perked up his ears at the mention of Gabriel. Certainly, Gabriel would disapprove, but he never reprimanded Hybrid for much. He was lucky; he was allowed to do as he saw fit as long as he kept Inferni safe. He supposed there was something to be said about his violence that let his other actions slip past. Whatever Gabriel’s reasons, Hybrid knew their relationship allowed him to get away with a lot. But for a newcomer, not so much; he still had to prove himself.

He gave the coyote a small expression of shock before letting it dissipate. He was not one normally known for a wide variety of emotions, so it was better this way.

“Yeah,” he agreed. “Gabriel did kill the fucker too. Wouldn’t want that to happen to you eh,” he added with a wicked grin.
