She returned from the borders by early evening, padding through one of the main entrances to the pack's underground lair. She had left Scorpius to do his own things within the safety of the few caves that she had explored so far. She was hoping to be able to catch some food for him and start to try to introduce meats into his diet, a little at a time. The pelt of such a creature would also be useful, something to keep Scorpius warm at night. She was aware of the chill of the territory that she had chosen, and was glad that she had a few wolves in the pack with knowledge of fire. Naniko knew how to start them as well. She had a small one going when she had left, and walked into the main community portion of the underground, where many of the tunnels converged, to find it still smoldering. The white wolfess warmed her hands over the embers before adding a few more pieces of wood and debris from the pile nearby. |
