Today, the man ventured beyond the land he had claimed as his own. It was with elegant pride that he passed the engraved trees that marked Salsola's border, pausing a moment to carve at one carved image with a wickedly clawed finger so as to sharpen it. With a pleased smile, the Hunter continued on his way - Melting into the forest and becoming invisible.

Invisibility was protection, and a weapon; One the master used well.

He walked on two legs, but large feet were silent, instinctively missing leaf-fall and twigs that would give off sound. There was no chosen purpose to his silence, but an ingrained habit - The man moved like a jungle cat, lost to the shadow's of one's peripheral vision until it was too late.

He wandered with no destination in mind, merely for the space of it. Wandering had always been deemed a necessary excursion before, so as to escape the dank claustrophobia of Anathema's caves. Now, it proved merely to be a tool with which to clear his clustered head. The Boss' manipulative mind had paid off, and he had delivered what he'd promised to his followers - The New world. And what a beautiful world it was. The Family he had created flourished under the man's cold and steady hand, and they had taken well to the changes, forming culture and obedience and rank without much thought. The members addressed him like a king, and the Revlis man was prideful as a peacock, Salsola being his most splendid plumage.

He wore the rank of rulership well. It suited brooding features, dark unkempt hair that had this day been combed into obedience and fell in messy curls at his shoulders. On another day, perhaps he would have been shrouded in the thick bearskin cloak he had made from the animal killed earlier in the season. The bear had left a neat track of scars over his right pectoral, but more, it had taken his tail. In return, the Hunter King had taken it's life. But the coat was far too warm to wear while on the move, and for now it lay sprawled across his stone throne back in the Ruins.

The silence was broken by what he initially assumed to be a strange bird-song. Natural curiosity drew the man towards the odd music; As he neared, the delicate and lovely melody became a voice that perhaps he recognized. With a strange tickling in his subconscious, the Revlis man moved swifter, ignoring the urge to change to his fourlegged form in case danger waited ahead. The hunting dagger strapped by severed and dried deer tendon to his upper thigh was a comfortable presence for such an occurrence.

Undoubtedly feminine, the siren's voice lured him to a small shack, hidden by the sanctum of surrounding pines. The tall, lanky man melted between these sentinels, his reptilian eyes seeking the owner of the voice, although familiarity had already pulled the image of the golden-crowned Lykoi girl into his mind. When hungry gaze did finally rest on her, seated on a beautiful human-made item, and casually plucking the strings of another, he was temporarily entranced. For a while, the King lingered, unseen - Watching as an outsider, this strange beauty who could summon the voices of the forest. Finally, becoming restless in his invisibility, the man stepped forth and broke free of the shadows that clung to his handsome pelt. "Clover?" Her name sprung to his wicked tongue, voiced in smooth mahogany tones.

Old desires welled forth, and with the arrogance befitting his rank, the lean Hunter took another step toward the lovely vision.
