[/html]Alder had made up his mind. This was for his mother.
Indeed he felt close to all the creatures that he rode among. He wanted to bring home all the prisoners, he wanted Cambria back for his sisters sake and he wanted his mother's pack as well as his own to be safe once again. But he thought of his mother when the fear rose, threatening to make him turn his horse around and ride all the way back to the Court and try to forget that this had ever happened. And he thought of her when he argued his family, and demanded that he go with the others that wanted to fight.
He trailed behind the other more talented riders and fighters, but when the fighting began he and Hawthorn stuck close to Rem and Anann. The boy hardly knew what to think, nor what he should do in the chaos. But there was so much adrenaline rushing through him that he followed the actions of other, splitting off them them to confront a few warriors. His large dark horse followed the other's lead just as his rider did, massive hooves trailing one wolf in particular who seemed on their side. He was unarmed, and beckoned them to come after him in the hopes of finding Maska. Alder knew the name, his anger swelled and he raced after him just as the other more experienced fighters did.
Alder pushed 'Thorn's side, causing the horse to dodge the advances of the attacking Guardians and kept his eyes on the red wolf. For the Marshal it was an easy target, compared to the armed foes that a knife wielding Dreamer and staff holding woman of the Court went up against.
Though unarmed the large wolf had prepared for the battle by carrying rope and other smaller essentials in case there were prisoners to take after the fighting force of Crimson Dreams and Cour des Miracles were done. It was the evidence of his hope for victory.
The masked wolf's stature, and that of his snorting black and white shire stallion was enough to make him formidable sight and they pursued the lupus creature with anger and revenge to fuel them.
