Crap post, sorry D: My muse has gone for today <3 Next one will be better!

The clip-clop of hooves announced the presence of another canine in the area. Ember had grown so used to the sound of Bayard walking that she often tuned it out and forgot that the horse's hooves would tell the world that she was in the area. There had been times in the past where she'd gotten off of the horse to walk more slowly and quietly with him, specifically around Inferni's territory, or times in which she'd wrapped his hooves in bits of cloth to muffle the sound...but today wasn't one of those days, so other creatures would more than likely hear her long before she realized that they were about.

She grumbled to herself as they rode on through the city, unsure of which direction she was traveling in any more. It didn't really matter, as she belonged to no one and had no pack to get back to..her only goal was to get out of the city. The willowy female had crossed through a rain storm that morning and was still drying off a bit, her long black hair frizzing and curling a bit as it dried back out. She hated the rain, and was more than a bit disgusted to have been caught up in one like she'd been.

Bayard gave a small whinny of joy as they reached a more natural area in the city, a small park surrounded by run-down businesses. There was a small pond in the middle, and the pair rode toward it to quench their thirst before moving on. Bayard had always been very skittish in the city, not used to the sounds and noises that came with all the cracked concrete and rusted metal. They started down a new street, and she yawned a bit and patted him on the neck. "'s Okay, boy, we'll be out of here soon enough."
