We still kill the old way

This pack hunt thread is not mandatory, but all are encouraged to join, even our small puppies. Set early morning, First of January.

The new year was ahead and Dahlia had grown and shrunk, changing almost as much as the seasons it changed with. The sun was on its way up to meet the new day, and the tawny Lilium lifted his creamy head greeted the circle of light with a howl going out to every adult member of the pack. His face dipped down again, and the brute’s body jolted when a dry sneeze forced itself out. It was more important to hunt together now than it had been, to support those unable to catch their own game. Truth be told, he knew little of how skilled the children were, but Svara (he actually knew the girl’s name now) had seemed very content by emptying his kitchen whenever he was out.

He shook his head and let a sigh out as he sat down on his hunches to wait for the rest of the pack to gather. The ideal would have been to have all the members here, but it was likely to only be wishful thinking. Today’s menu was a pair of deer, one stag and one dove, Haku hoped they would be able to get them both. The game had seemed to camp in the curved river section in Oberon’s Spring, and had placed themselves so foolishly that they simply did not deserve to live. The plan was that they would not.
