OOC: Thought Flayra should get used to hunting.

WC: 826

The silence in the forest of Dahlia de Mai was pleasant, however could easily be well broken. The only thing there was mainly were a few birds, lots and lots of trees, smll animals, and shrubs that can survive during the snow. Some creatures hibernate until spring, that's when they come out to restock on food for next winter. It is amazing the these animals know ways to survive during winters. Others are out every single day, trying to find food in the harsh snowstorms, or freezing mountains. Doing something like that is life threatening, but they still do it. It's either their nature, they are daredevils, or they are just stupid to think before they act. When doing that, they can become an easy target for other predators. Wolves somethings catch some animals trying to find food for themselves. Herds pretend they don't see anything when one of them walks off and gets eaten. So lazy they don't even bother looking. Well, they are stupid some of them. In a way, they deserve it for not being extra careful.

There are some small birds that live as a flock. The more the birds, the more the watchful eyes. While most of them are chatting amongst themselves, some of the other ones just keep a look out for anything that they may consider dangerous. That would be considered as teamwork. Like everyone says, there is no I in team. There was a young pup and a hawk that worked as a team, protection, watchful eyes, and help. The pup, Flayra, and the hawk, Neon, were wondering through the forest of the winter wonderland. The snow covered the trees and the brown earth with it's whitey goodness. White patches of snow were found under trees were the snow couldn't get to it properly. Some grass and shrubs were still present because of their slight immunity to the harsh cold. Small animals sometimes eats this stuff, then when there is none left, they look for more somewhere else. A good way of survival.

Neon was looking almost in every direction, keeping an eye out for any danger, and animals that worth hunting for. From a low altitude, he couldn't see much. With a few beats of his wings, he took flight to a near by tree. Perching upon a branch, he continued to look around. Still he couldn't see anything. Flayra looked up at him as he was searching. "See anything yet? Flay asked him. Neon looked giving a look that was sort of saying no. Flay gave a light sigh at his reply, and looked around and took a wiff of the air. Because of her young, and because of the winter season, she couldn't smell anything that's from a long distance. Though she liked winter, it had a slight flaw for her, interferring with her sense of smell. Neon was also affected, however, not as bad as Flayra's. Flay could only smell a certain range, while Neon could smell a bit farther than her. Neon could also see long distances, but in snowstorms, all he could see was white. However, there wasn't a storm, so he could see well, but nothing. Flayra looked back to him and said, "I can't either." Neon took another look around, but still nothing, so he was gonna take off again. With one flap of his wings, that's all he did. He got some snow dropped on him that fell off one of the branches. His feathers were covered in snow. Flay saw it and couldn't help, but laugh. Neon just watched her as she laughed.

The laughter was soon to be broken by a howl from a familiar voice. Haku. He was calling about a hunt. Flay was excited to hear about it, but thought if she was sort of ready to hunt. Well, with Neon on her side, she could probably succeed. Neon finished shaking the snow off when he heard the call. Flay was quick to act and said, "Neon, lets go." She then bolted to where Haku was calling from with Neon flying behind her keeping up to her speed. Though she had the scar on her arm, she could still run. The was still covered with the cloth, taking the little bits of snow that flew up from the ground when Flay was running. Then a small group of wolves came into view. One was Haku, the other Svara, and another that had blue markings on her body. Flay didn't meet her yet. She started to slow from running to walking, coming up next to the blue marked female. "Hi there," she said to the group as she looked at them. Neon started to slow down as he flew to tree branch. He perched himself on a branch that had another bird, or a raven to be exact. Neon, however, didn't annoy it. Instead he remained quietly while he watched the Flay joined the small group.
