OOC: Look, it's an old man! Big Grin 300+

Such a fool. Stupid, stupid fool. He could have been kicked out of the pack. He could have left by himself. As things stood, once again he had taken on responsibilities and promises he could not keep. The new year had rolled around. In the summer, he would be five. He had had no mate, sired no pups. He had been, through and through, a failure. Lubomir was lying on the edge of human town, his eyes closed. He felt old, so very very old. Mew, her anger so fresh in his mind. Haku and his mate, like two devils, their scents mixing, until he could not tell one from the other. Once again, he felt like running away. He could almost hear the siren call of the wild, the promise of a life without strife. He could find Bane again, perhaps they would hunt together and then spend the winter in a makeshift den. He could stalk the borders of Dahlia, hoping to glimpse Mew. He could go to AniWaya, where Ember, Pilot and Tayui seemed to be. They might take him in. Maybe. Or he could leave and die of hunger and cold, his bones buried by the cold winter.

The call was loud, ringing in Lubomir's ears. The male wanted nothing to do with Haku or his greeting, but to do so would be rude. He wondered if they would reprimand him for it. Would they throw him out? Is this what the call was for? No, no, surely they would just take him aside and explain that he was no longer wanted. He had hurt Mew again. He had slept with the Alpha male's mate. A coward and a cheater. That was all he was. But if they were sending him out, he would go out with honour. Ever so slowly, the grey male made his way towards the others. He saw Haku and Firefly and three others: two puppies he did not recognise (Haku's?) and a female he had never seen before.

No Mew. That was the first thing that really registered. Perhaps she would never come. He did not deserve her. Looking around, Lubomir simply called out, "Haku, Firefly, ladies," before sitting down. He did not know the others. He did not care to know them. If they were throwing him out, he would never need to know their names.
