We still kill the old way

Firefly merely watched the others as they joined, she didn't exchange any polite nods or smiles to the rest of the pack. She was here because they needed to bring in a kill and not because she wanted to be social. Haku's mood towards her was enough to sour any thoughts she might have of being friendly towards her packmates, and being thrown in with the two children of the pack made her bare her fangs at her mate and leader. Just because she was pregant didn't mean she couldn't hunt. She narrowed her eyes, she'd show him that pregnancy or not she could still hunt with the best of them. He was sticking her with the role of watching the annoying loudmouth and the shyer side it seemed, and making certain the two did their job and didn't let the deer sneak past them. She flicked her ears back as she straightened up, her eyes dark gems as she stood there, she'd do just that and then some. The bastard had to grow up some time and face the world, it was his fast tongue that had made her decided not to force the puppies from her body earlier in the pregnancy, he was stuck with the lot of them now.

Her glace flickered to the brat child as her loud mouth was heard across the lands, snapping at the girl Firefly narrowed her orbs as she spoke. "Enough Svara, just think of it like this, if you can't prove yourself at such a simple task what will we do with you in the future." She raised a brow as she glanced over to the other child. Svara might already have placed some sortof stamp of dominance over the other child but they both would be listening to Firefly today and she wouldn't have any sort of bickering or whining between the pair. "..take it as a gift you're left with me, maybe you'll be allowed to keep that smart mouth of yours." Firefly knew from a fact just how strong those deer could kick, and though she'd love to see the young pup cracked in the jaw by the buck personally she knew that if the pack was to grow and survive that they would need every able body present.

Turning her eyes back once more to the second of the two she spoke with a light frost to her voice but not as sharply as she had to Svara. "Will you listen to what you're told?" She knew that Svara might but in the process she'd probably complain the whole time and let one of the deer slip by. Firefly wanted to know that she atleast had the attention of one of the children who'd had little to no training whatsoever in this type of hunt. She knew they had to learn someday but she would have rather raced with the pack than be stuck herding along the lackeys.

Firefly began to zone out of the rest of the conversation, knowing that what he did with the rest of the pack was of no concern to her since she'd already been assigned her place, a place that afforded her the farthest distance from her own mate. She felt her fur bristle at the though but she didn't let it go any further than that as she moved her emerald orbs over the others gathered that day, silently watching the lot of them and knowing that the looks she caught between her mate and Cwmfen were unlikely to just be glances of friendship. Her mate didn't keep friends of the female persuasion. Her orbs narrowed once again as she shook the thought from her head, knowing she'd have to find a way to deal with that mark against her mate later. She'd make him pay for each and every little smudge he put upon their mateship, it might oneday be the death of them but she would do it.

She turned her eyes away once more from the line of conversation and just waited as she'd moved over to join the two children who was unluckily her charge.
