We still kill the old way

Slay appeared after her but he was the last to come. Navy eyes watched over the male, but merely nodded to his cheerful hello. Cercelee was not feeling unfriendly, but just not very talkative this morning. Instead, with a slightly bemused smile plastered to her face, she critically eyed Slay as he observed Cwmfen, the pups and the rest of them. Only when Haku spoke did her attention snap away from the black and white beast. She had no questions, but quietly digested those of the other members. The first came from the child whom Cercelee did not know, and it was neither question nor constructive comment, merely a snide remark targeted toward Firefly and Flayra. Scoldings formed in Cercelee’s throat but were never delivered, for she found that Cwmfen was quick to chastise the child and Firefly took the assault more seriously, her words almost as fiery as the child’s. Cercelee nodded approvingly to both females, knowing that neither were particularly puppy orientated but that they both had intervened appropriately. Without parents to reprimand, teach and protect the duties fell to all of them and she was glad they no one had overlooked the outburst of the child.

Turning her eyes to the Flayra, Cercelee smiled softly at the girl, her voice melodic and smooth though the firmness of authority lurked within her tones as well. "No, scars are merely a reminder of where we’ve been while trying to get where we will end up, they are by no means a disadvantage Flayra. Much more harmful to the pack is a sour attitude." The Rosea regarded Svara and Firefly briefly, her eyes telling Firefly not to let anything happen the either child and that unnecessary hostility towards them or between them would not be tolerated. Ears perked as Mew’s male spoke, and Cercelee though that both he and Cwmfen had sensible questions and though Cercelee did not add anymore herself, she felt as if the hunt would be a success.
