We still kill the old way

700+ So so so so sooo sorry for the wait, and so sorry for the bad quality of this post. its 4am and I am kind of tired, but I've had you guys waiting long enough. Go crazy and do something about those deer!

The male’s ability to maintain an expressionless face was always stunning, and he hid his forming feelings for the bitchy little pup well. He simply stared at her, and was spared the duty of putting her into place by the response from other adults. His eyes lingered slightly on Flayra, almost feeling a bit sorry for her, because there were only Svara here that was close to her age, and he was quite certain that Svara would be as horrible to her as to everyone else, and what she had said just made it even more certain. He was a hypocrite. He could not get enough of the snotty little child when in action, but if she was to nip too much on the Lilium, then there would be some trouble. Why oh why did she live in his cottage? He gathered the questions that rose with flickering ears, and nodded as Slay stated offered an answer to Lubomir’s.

It all comes down to the game and their movement. He did not put much importance in selecting a specific member to do the kill, because in the end it was all about luck and positioning. Of course, some here were more skilled than others, but he knew the adults that was in the main hunter group were all fine hunters, and with the back-troop scattering out, displaying a fence in form of the strong scent of predators, they were free to do what they wanted(in theory, that is). We will create a half circle and close in on them, when they fully notice us, we have to adjust to the directions they will try to move in. Slay and Cercelee will keep to the right, Cwmfen and Lubo to the left, and I will go middle. Back troop will stay slightly behind, and make sure to not leave too large gaps. All in the main hunting party are skilled hunters, so I trust you know what to do if the thing suddenly charges your way. Aim for the throat.

Detailed tactics did really work that well in large hunting parties, especially not with more than one target. It would be interesting to try this thing out. The stag could easily attack, and therefore he felt it might be better to have a few extra individuals close instead of one picked out member to go for the throat. Haku was not fond of gambling. He felt his words might be a bit too vague for some of the members to digest with satisfaction, but that could bring some spice into it all. After all, this whole world was Haku’s own playground, and all in all this was all a game that would end at the devil’s doorstep. So, without more dillydallying, he started to move.

The scent of game still lingered and the animals were still there. The wolves had an excellently friendly breeze today, and their scent was not to be revealed before the animals were completely trapped. Haku glided elegantly in-between the young trees, soon certain the deer was still in the middle. The Lilium gave a visible nod, a silent ‘go’, and sped up with no mercy. Those on each sides of him should by then be close enough to see him throwing them into action, and followed in their own tracks, allowing the poor animals no escape routes except for a thin iced river that was no better than jaws, really.

The dove gave a short shout as the wolves seemed to leak out from nowhere, and threw itself in running along the river towards Cwmfen and Lubomir’s side, while the stag seemed less outwitted as it lowered its antlers and charged blindly towards the middle of the four predator smell.

Haku’s limbs tried to switch directions all too fast, but clumsily slowed down his speed and then withdrew slightly as the animal charged. He moved backwards sideways left, towards the left group pair that was faced with a fleeing deer coming their way. Adrenaline rushed as the stag executed the distance between them, and Haku ended up with having to throw himself around and run with full speed. He broke the neat half circle and was to end up between left hunting group and the river, but with the stag chasing him, Slay and Cer would be able to slip behind and beside the animal.
