It had been a very warm and sunny day, but with the night came much cooler temperatures. She had, for the most part, taken a whole entire day off of her normal routine. Usually the green eyed wolf went out and looked around the borders for any strangers, visited wolves, then practiced or read until the sun went down. She hadn't been prepared for the heat wave that had taken over Aniwaya; her favorite practicing spot was directly in the sunlight. She would have to find a new one for these warmer days. It didn't look like it was likely to get cold again.

Ember walked through the darkness on two legs, her black cloak covering most of her body. She had gone to the border many times during the day, but not very often at night. She would keep watch of it for a few hours and walk along it to see if anyone was waiting there or trying to come inside. She was a warrior of Aniwaya, after all, and it was her job to make sure that the pack was safe. Especially at night time.

She reached the area of the border where the river crossed it and stopped, cupping her hands down into the water to get a drink.
