Here we go! Sorry, I've been helping develop a character for a friend.

Let me show you the wonders of life

Hanna had been looking around this new area, as far west as she'd ever been, ever dreamed of being. She'd wandered around a chain-link perimeter, away to the north, and then happened upon a huge field filled to the brim with growing life. Despite the caveat of the scent-lines, the woman couldn't help but immerse herself into the burgeoning life. While Hanna had never really planted her own garden, had not looked for the seeds to do so, Spring and Summer had always been her favorite seasons because of all the new growth. They were the best seasons to find and collect her medical supplies, the different plants she needed to care for herself and others.

As she went, Hanna took care to avoid what puddles she could, wondering what seeds were being flooded beneath the water's surface. As much rain as there had been, if there were any late-starting plants, they were likely dead, which could spell trouble. The dark paws squelched despite Hanna's care, and she began wondering if she shouldn't just turn back, before she found herself in trouble. Still, something urged her to continue on, to see if she could catch a glimpse of the rest of the pack before she committed herself to speaking to someone and then finding that this was not the place she thought it was.

Before long, the woman had neared the south end of the fields, and she was beginning to worry. The corn would hide her a little longer, but not much more. She peered out from between a pair of stalks where she was crouched, since the plants were not near her six foot three yet, and saw... A pup. Was she tending all these plants herself? Surely not; she didn't seem that old. Did that mean the entire pack helped, or just the pups? Oh, so many things Hanna wondered but didn't know, and couldn't ask. After all, who was around but the girl who was shaking her rear in what seemed, to Hanna, an odd manner? Unless she'd missed seeing someone. But surely they'd have seen or smelled her.

What a conundrum. Should she approach, or shy away; take a risk, or play it safe? She shrugged, it wouldn't be the first time she'd made a potentially bad decision. Out she trotted, toward the girl, slowing so she didn't alarm Noir. "Hello there..." Please don't scream. she finished the sentence in her head.
