There was only one drug that she was sampling nowadays, old human tobacco sticks. She had read up on these--you had to light them to get them to work, so she didn't see them as being any threat to an inquisitive pup. Not that she would live in the mansion when she returned to the packlands. She wasn't sure what part of the lands she would reside in--just within the borders? Near the lake? She could build herself a house; the woman was strong, and perhaps Ehno would assist her with the labor to make it go faster.
The large wolf padded toward her knit sanctuary, bucket still in her teeth. She dumped the rest of the paint in front of the shop, putting her paws in it and lifting them to place stamps on its display window and painted front. Hopefully these markings, along with her scent, would keep intruders out. She hoped that the locked door would also be a deterrent. Naniko did like it when her old packmembers came to see her, but there were also times where she just wanted time to herself. She lifted one paw again after dipping it into the paint, writing "NANIKO" out on the window in English. There, perfect.
The snow-colored female winced as a light cramp ran through her mid-section. She had been feeling really crappy lately, for at least the last week or so. Ever since she and Ehno had been together. It was puzzling...but she wasn't sure if she could even be pregnant right now. She had thought that the drugs had messed her body up along with her mind. But maybe it was possible. The woman knew enough not to shift if she had even an inkling that she might be...she wouldn't threaten the lives of the unborn ones.
She stood up, the fumes from the paint making her feel a little dizzy, and took a few steps backwards. The house looked fine--now she could go inside and light up a few of her tobacco sticks.
