ooc: short post from James D:

Addison felt a lot better now that she had eaten, her paw still holding one more of them down to the ground. She looked at them with considering blue and gold eyes, not sure if it would be worth it to swallow the thing and end its life. She had discovered a very large nest of mice beneath a log and had swallowed many of the littler ones without chewing, their tiny pink, barely-furred bodies going down easy. She wasn't sure if she ought to eat the bigger ones or not, if she should pick through their fur to get to the meat.

The animal squeaked and struggled beneath her paw and she felt a prick of pain. Her eyebrows knit together and she let up a tiny bit, then put all of her weight onto that one paw, crushing the mouse. Stupid mice. Halo's rats had done a real number on her both physically and psychologically...and though this little mouse had only been trying to defend itself, the sharp feeling of rodent teeth on her had made her react with anger. She didn't even want to eat it any more. The mix-colored wolf flicked the dead mouse aside, still frowning. Now her day was ruined.
