OOC:

War. War was something not brought up in an everyday conversation. War was something not often preferred, but occasionally handy when available. War was used as not an excuse, but a weapon. A weapon handy enough to bring many to one side or the opposite, or to strike fear in the hearts of the many others. Cassius himself was not an expert when it came to war, he had never seen it firsthand let alone participate in one. It sound very worrying to him. He had just got here and now war? Another thing to upset the balance he thought this place was safe on? Much to his dismay, he would have to participate, although he didn't know a damn thing about fighting. He was most likely the most timid, harmless member here.

With Gabriel's quick speech, the other coyotes shouted and cheered to the prospect of war with the other pack named Dahlia de Mai. He could tell that Inferni had some beef with this other pack in the past, but that was all he knew about it. He didn't delve into any further. After Cotl's outburst, another unknown coyote replied in agreement. Cassius was starting to growing worried about how the other coyotes would view him. He was a sheepish sort of guy who, although at the ripe age of three, didn't have any violent tendencies or experience. When Anselm, another member Cass met rather recently, spoke out, Cassius was well agreeable to his hinted idea but he remained silent.

As the rest of the pack started to come together and have their words, Cass was slowly brewing up a plan in his own brain. What could he do to contribute, that didn't involve up-close-and-personal fighting. He could come up with some kind of... gadget to help defend the borders. Or maybe a crude gun they could have to storm the other territory. as he was brainstorming, he fiddled with a recent invention in his hand, a claw mechanism of sorts, to grab things from afar. Right now, he was just starting to figure out the components to use for effectiveness. Unknowingly, he tripped a small trigger and the claw snapped closed, catching his left hand between his index finger and the thumb in the process. The hybrid let out a sharp inhale, but soon discovered he was onto something.

He fidgeted with his goggles for a brief moment, fixing them on his still unkempt fur before standing straight up. Leaving the claw latched to his hand, he stepped forward timidly, speaking before the other members. "W-well now, y'all don't go an' ferget we gotta protect our borders too. We could go and set some sort of traps and sorts," he protested, holding up his left hand in exhibition. "Kinda like this here, only lots bigger. But we can't just done and go puttin' 'em ever'where's. We done gotta set this out, plannin' and stuff. We can go an' chain the traps to the the ground so them tresspassers can't go nowhere's." Sure it was too early to start planning this specific of stuff, but Cassius was very excitable about his engineering projects. He may just as well have fun with this war too.
