There were inevitably faces he did not yet know. In fact, Razekiel had somehow sheltered himself during his first few weeks back in Inferni. There were only a few Inferni creatures he could now recognize, most of which were family. While open to meeting the other strangers who also laid claim to a piece of Inferni, Razekiel had not adopted any sudden desire to get in their faces about it. As far as he was concerned, Inferni was his home in name only; he was not one of them, or so he believed. He was there only to be near his family once more, as well as survive until his feet felt that wandering was once again a necessity.

As he dwelt amongst them, somewhat late to the impromptu meeting as compared to the others, Razekiel could see the contrast in full sway. The prince crept in quietly and took his place somewhere in the back; despite his membership growing longer, the poor coyote had yet made any efforts at all to prove himself worthy. In reality, he was hardly making an effort to adapt himself to a ranking system as had been standard his childhood but not since he'd left Inferni the first time. Juniper Peace, aside from their two wolven leaders, had been a clan of equals. In this Inferni, this new Inferni, he could see killers in their eyes. He could see the blood on Gabriel's coat, the stolid, emotionless stare of his brother. The uneasiness in his mother's step as she passed through them. She'd been attacked -- his mother, attacked? Wolves, of all creatures; Mother Earth's single entity that did not deserve mercy. The prince's ears flipped back against his head; his straw eyes narrowed, and he was more silent than silence could be.

Wolves didn't know war until Razekiel was mad.
