Emwe's bum found itself on the ground as he sat idly by and listened to his father speak. He'd wandered into the meeting a bit late, but still he caught the main issue here. Though the news were surprising, Emwe did not really see what difference it would make for him. Sure, he would be more careful, but who would dare lay a hand on the Rosen's beloved son? He felt quite safe, knowing that his father would protect him at all costs. Perhaps Firefly, too, would come back for a moment to stay with him, to make sure that he was okay. He would understand that, for he had learned through observation that mothers were very keen on keeping their children safe, just as his own mother certainly was. Haku was, too, but in a different way. His mouth was shut as he let his silvery blue yees wander from one person's face to another, taking note of some strange faces, some faces that were missing, and some faces that he found quite funny. He let his gaze skip the face of Tokyo, for he was terrified that she might see that he was looking at her, and he did not want her to smirk at him. Okay, so he had nearly killed himself by accident. It was bad enough that it had happened, but he did not understand why she had laughed so much. It still stung a little when he thought about it.

Some faces looked worried, some faces looked indifferent. Some faces even looked kind of strange... eager, even, but he quickly dismissed that as being fabrications of his own mind. No, no one wanted a war, surely? And he was certain this would pass quickly. That would be for the best for everyone. Dumb as he was, he sat still and uttered not a word. But he thought furiously about what this could mean for his own ego. He would take it upon himself to protect Alexey and Conor and the little pups and everyone else that wanted to stay with them because he was so strong and protective-like. And he would save the day, and that would be his path to acknowledgement and glory and all kinds of good stuff. And then finally maybe someone would ask him for help, instead of how it worked now, when he kept having to ask everyone else to help him. It was not nice, but it would be better. He could pretend to defend them (and sort of do it, too, of course), but he wouldn't really have to do anything because Haku would beat them senseless if they did and the tiny little coyotes should know that. When he thought about it like that, it was maybe even a little nice with a war. Though, there were downsides. He couldn't really make up his mind about that — it was a tough subject.
