Hanna's ebony ears swiveled in response to her nephew's call of summons. Her eyes fell to the sleeping Mew, the pups curled near her. They seemed to be sleeping, but the little ones had been sticking near their mother anyway, and it would not have surprised her to learn they were merely feigning it, afraid to "wake" for fear of being sent away from their mom's side. Even though Mew's wound seemed to be getting better to the medic -- it had not begun to physically heal, but it looked improved to Hanna's trained eyes -- she still spent much time either asleep or unconscious. Hanna mainly left her lie, unwilling to wake her from true sleep for fear she was unconscious. From time to time, the woman would check the white lady's pulse at her wrist, listening for any abnormality in the beat.

Beyond doing these actions, Hanna was largely sitting around the house on her arse. But for the few times a day Mew would stir, at which points Hanna would make her drink some water, sometimes some broth when Conor came to take over so she could hunt, there was not much to do but keep an eye on the pups. Dexter, Keeleigh and Vesle seemed to be dreams to take care of, though Keeleigh tended to wander a bit more when they went outside, Hanna sitting on the step to listen for Mew. The grey and white pup seemed to have the same wanderlust spirit that Hanna had developed, and Hanna wondered where Kee's paws would carry her someday.

Desi looked up from where she was curled with her cousins, question in her eyes. Keeleigh followed suit, and Hanna thought she might have seen another eye peep open quickly before snapping shut. She chose not to call the owner of the eye out on it, but smiled kindly at her daughter and niece. "Do you girls need anything?" They both shook their heads, but Désirée spoke quietly. "Wha's goin' on, Mommy? Who wuzzat?" Hanna smiled a little wider and answered her. "That was your cousin Haku. He was calling everyone in the pack together to talk. Mommy is gonna stay here with Keeleigh's mommy, though." Her daughter queried if she could go anyway, and after a moment's thought, Hanna decided maybe it would be okay if she went.

"You can go, as long as Keeleigh's going and doesn't mind." The Sadira girl was only a few months older than Desi, but she was responsible and seemed to love her cousin. The heart on Kee's cheek grew blurry as she rapidly nodded her head up and down, and with a lick, the girls were out the door on their way to the park, Desi yapping happily as she went. Hanna stood and went to the door, venturing several steps away from it. Her head tilted, and she let her voice ring freely, letting the alpha know that while she would not be in attendance as she was caring for the injured Mew, Keeleigh and Desi were on their way and would be there momentarily.
