That deep voice called her. It was like all the tones in the world got mixed up in one single flawless voice. And it called called her now. Alex’s eyes widened to recive the fading light and her ears pointed up to fill with that amazing voice. The only one she knew, after all and the one she liked the most of what she heard. It was weird how the black female could admire one like the leader but it was certain she started to like him more with time. To her still young mind the stains of blood she could almost see on that brownish pelt didn’t mattered. Nor the screams of terror that seemed to accompany him everywhere. To her it was just one of those wolves you just admire, without caring for their past. After all he did great good to her not killing her and letting her stay.

Amber orbs stared the sky for a second before closing to let one of her most thrilling songs out. It wasn’t something she intended, it just came out and for a few seconds she thought she did a bad thing but it was too late to take it back. Her mind raced back to when she was smaller. She still kept the memories of a war back than but everything was blurry. She knew war was what awaited her here for rumors got to her. The woman still hoped it was just a rumor but it was written in the air it was bound to happen.

Alex remembered what the leader told her about the metal jaws and the fact that someone aimed to hurt dahlian members. She remembered what she thought about the one that did stuff like that and sudently she knew she was going to join the fight. If only she was a little stronger…The black woman left out a sigh of disappointment. She didn’t want to drag down the pack with her wicknes but she didn’t want to step aside eighter. After some thought she figured it wasn’t really her choice and headed straight to where the call came.

Redish paws touched the paved alley, leaving medium paw prints in the snow. Judging after their depth it was easely seen one leg wasn’t really fully used, although Alex seemed to walk perfectly fine. The truth was it didn’t hurt anymore but it was still pretty stiff. She couldn’t see it but her wickness was obvious. Though she ate well since she came to these lands her body was still quite thin and her frame looked awfully fragile under the thick layer of fur covering her body.

Besides her problems, Alex tried to keep tall and proud without looking threatfull or unsubmissive. It wasn’ like her to just lower her head and follow so she didn’t tried to do that. Instead, the female kept herself head up, ears erect walking softly. Her tail, left hanging down was the only sign of her submition along with the respectful look in her eyes. It was a strange compilation of pride and respect that gave her an air of strength.

Looking around she realized she only knew one face and the idea of plundging into a sea of unknown faces scared her alittle. She knew for a fact no one knew her out there and had no idea how she’ll be welcomed among those all unfamiliar faces. She stopped a second to asses the situation and think of what she could do. The fact that there was little to none chances she’ll be able to do anything left her mind black walking to where everyone gathered.

The smell of tension could almost be senced in the air and the war was on everyone’s lips, hanging over every head there like a death sentence, like a curse. It was sad to watch all those faces, to hear all those voices and know some won’t live through that war. To Alex, the perspective of witnessing death was tormenting for it was the first time she would actually take part in something like that. It was weird that she wanted to be there but feared it dearely.

Her eyes swifted from wolf to wolf to see her new pack mates. Though she knew no one, something made her like every single one of them. Well not really… Hazel eyes fell on the black pup she already knew and a smile of amusement broke her otherwise serious face. She didn’t liked the pup but it wasn’t like she hated it eighter. It was something that needed time to fall in place and weather she’ll learn to like the pup or not was to be seen. There were other faces more interesting and Alex just kept walking.

One by one, faces started to stick to her mind along with smells and voices. It was nice to be invaded by that amount of information and she loved every second of it. All colors and sizes, all expressions and sounds, everything was there. Alex could almost lay down and watch forever that combination of souls, each different, each amazing.

Her paws though kept taking her further and further, until she got closer to the alpha. It wasn’t something she ment but something involuntary triggered by the general unfamiliarity. He was the only face she trusted so far and she hoped in case of trouble he’ll be the one to help her through. It wasn’t like she tried to stay on his good side just because he was the strongest around…No, it had nothing to do with that. And the raised head and daring look on her face was the speaking proof of her sincerity.

Amber orbs stared each wolf again as Alex laid down, keeping a respectful yet proud light shining in them, smiling to each one in a warm way that spoke her mind better than anything. As she turned to the brown male her eyes shined with a new light, one that kept all her might and inner strength. It wasn’t a chalange nor a threat. It was a silent prayer for being allowed to fight. She knew he might see her as weak and unworthy but she also knew she could make a difference. If she was allowed to. It's war, isn't it?
