The large beast had been traveling a lot across the lands recently. He traced and retraced his steps, learning the way of the land, the packs and creatures and the quickest trails to get from here to there. His sapphire and gold eyes stared at the path before him for a second before he sighed, shifting his weight from one paw to the other he finally gave in and trotted down the sloping hill and off into the meadow. He really hated the coming cold months and he knew from the cold seeping between his paws that it would only grow worse in the coming months.
It has snowed recently and though the snow had all but disappeared it was still lingering in the air. The scent of snow was sharp and the grey clouds overhead showed him that it wouldn't be too long before the snow came pouring down again. He turned his nose to the sky for a moment, the scent of deer on the move made him smile. He could ignore the snow coming and the cold if dinner was on the way.
