- Saul Stormbringer - 01-31-2012
24th January . 9.30am . Archery Field . Optime Form The young Stormbringer held his breath as he plunged into the depths of the water, exuberance rushing through his body at the combination of the chill to the water and the cleanliness that he already felt as the bubbles of air released from his coat and rose to the surface. It was part of his mourning routine and it hadn't changed a bit since he'd arrived at the festival four days ago. So far he hadn't managed to do all that much, although he'd acquired a new horse and some important pouches of herbs that would be incredibly useful when he had need of them. He opened his eyes, feeling the familiar sting against his eyeballs before he blinked and it vanished. There was a certain advantage of bathing in the lake- it was deep enough that he could jump in without hitting the bottom and he could swim around all he liked. .freebjuly02 b {font-weight:bold; color:#c39b6a; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; } .freebjuly02 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .freebjuly02 {margin:0 auto; width:462px; background-color:#cdbfb2; background-image:url(http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i32 ... bjuly2.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #796857; padding: 150px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#796857; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 411+
- Dixie-May Jackson - 02-03-2012
LOL dixie has no sense of personal space. xD / +3 Dixie had to go check on the horses for a while this morning, see how they were doing and make sure that no one was picking on anyone else. She hated having to separate horses because they couldn’t get along, but it had to be done sometimes…and for good reason. If one of those bigger stallions kicked the still growing Bark, the youngster would be injured seriously. Fern could try to protect him, but then she’d probably get hurt as well. Hopefully the Casa horses stuck together and protected one another from any of the other packs’ brutes. No one had a use for injured horses that could not work. .dixieemaay b {font-weight:bold; color:#babeb5; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4b4d49; } .dixieemaay p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .dixieemaay {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#888985; background-image:url(http://i51.tinypic.com/2mzqyo.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 220px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#4e5149; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .dixieemaay p b:before { content: open-quote; } .dixieemaay p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 02-04-2012
-chews on dixie- While the male had no reason to feel awkward standing in the clearing- he had no need for a partner to arrive and this was a task he could complete on his own- there was a certain sense of loneliness as he stood there. He'd asked Eclipse if she might like to come, but she'd declined on the basis that she already knew how to use and hunt with a bow. He'd allowed her that one, but promised her that they would complete at least one task together. She grudgingly agreed and Saul had left, unsure of whether he would complete the task on his own. His run this morning had done a lot to clear his head and he felt settled and happy with the days task, but there was still a certain portion of him that wished he at least had a companion to do this with. He was sure he didn't know anyone else here and none of them looked particularly interested in speaking with him. .freebjuly02 b {font-weight:bold; color:#c39b6a; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; } .freebjuly02 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .freebjuly02 {margin:0 auto; width:462px; background-color:#cdbfb2; background-image:url(http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i32 ... bjuly2.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #796857; padding: 150px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#796857; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 490+
- Dixie-May Jackson - 02-05-2012
she is such a dork +3 The small woman snuggled up against Saul for a hug, smiling up at him happily. It was always nice to be around others who could deal with her insane personality and energy for a while, at least until she was able to calm herself down. Saul just took her questions and bouncing in stride, watching with amusement until she was finished and waiting for him to answer impatiently. Of course she had to go and make herself look like an idiot within the first few moments of talking to him. She KNEW that horses didn’t show until later in their pregnancy…what was with asking him that in the first place? Well, her mother’s old horse, a pony of sorts, had always shown a bit earlier since she was so thin all the time. Images of the bony grey mare popped into her head and then lined up with an image of the large, filled out and stocky Gypsy…there was no way anything on Gypsy would look different yet. Shaking her head a little, Dixie snorted at her own stupidity and looked back up at Saul, focusing on what he was saying. .dixieemaay b {font-weight:bold; color:#babeb5; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4b4d49; } .dixieemaay p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .dixieemaay {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#888985; background-image:url(http://i51.tinypic.com/2mzqyo.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 220px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#4e5149; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .dixieemaay p b:before { content: open-quote; } .dixieemaay p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 02-06-2012
-chews on dixie- While Saul had only met Dixie on one occasion, there was a certain buoyancy about her that he was drawn to. She was an easy going, happy person and while they weren't particularly close, Saul could feel himself fitting easily into her life, and her into his. It didn't feel like something either of them had to work hard to achieve- it was just an effortless friendship, unmarred by the trials of time away and everything else that had happened to him. He wished, not for the first time, that he had not left Temeraire with Nayru back in Ichika- it would have been good for Dixie to meet his son. He would have to tell her about him instead and hope that when the time came for Gypsy to be returned, the two would be able to meet one another. Dixie launched into another explanation and Saul smiled, squeezing her a little tighter against his body. .freebjuly02 b {font-weight:bold; color:#c39b6a; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; } .freebjuly02 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .freebjuly02 {margin:0 auto; width:462px; background-color:#cdbfb2; background-image:url(http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i32 ... bjuly2.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #796857; padding: 150px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#796857; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 459+
- Dixie-May Jackson - 02-16-2012
took forever. -.- sorry +3
Being around Saul was so easy, almost like she’d been with him for months. There was a seamless friendship that she was sure would still be intact if they didn’t see each other for years, even. He was so laid back and calm, just taking her insanity in stride with a patient grin…the perfect friend for the crazy ball of white fluff. Her head tilted to the side when he began talking again, making sure to listen closely to everything he said. There were certain people who she kind of ignored, and some people she paid close attention to…Saul was becoming one of the latter, as she actually felt like she should care about everything he had to tell her. .dixieemaay b {font-weight:bold; color:#babeb5; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4b4d49; } .dixieemaay p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .dixieemaay {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#888985; background-image:url(http://i51.tinypic.com/2mzqyo.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 220px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#4e5149; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .dixieemaay p b:before { content: open-quote; } .dixieemaay p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 02-17-2012
-chews on dixie- As if in a world of her own, Dixie continued her talking and Saul found that he was able to concentrate easily on what she was saying. She might talk a lot, but it usually wasn't innane chatter that meant little to either of them. Like she was willing to listen to him, Saul was also willing to put in the time to listen and respond where the little blond bombshell was concerned. Unlike most of the other female relations he dealt with, he did not feel paternally for Dixie- it was more of a favourite little sister kind of friendship that was easy on both of their parts. As she spoke about Jazper and Annan, he felt a smile tug at his lips- she was a breath of fresh air when he needed her the most. Coming down to the festival had been a good idea, but Saul wasn't entirely sure leaving his son for that long was a good idea. .freebjuly02 b {font-weight:bold; color:#c39b6a; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; } .freebjuly02 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .freebjuly02 {margin:0 auto; width:462px; background-color:#cdbfb2; background-image:url(http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i32 ... bjuly2.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #796857; padding: 150px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#796857; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 481+
- Dixie-May Jackson - 02-17-2012
rawr. bleh.+3 Dixie was a little upset about not doing very well with the bow and arrow, but she knew it would happen. The thing was way too big for her little body and it was just to be expected. Watching all of the other archers gave her a chance to sit and just observe though. Her brain picked up small things, like how far back they pulled the string, the angle of their shoulders and hips, how to aim. Sighing softly, she sat down and grabbed a handful of arrows, making sure that Saul could reach them after he took his next shot. .dixieemaay b {font-weight:bold; color:#babeb5; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4b4d49; } .dixieemaay p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .dixieemaay {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#888985; background-image:url(http://i51.tinypic.com/2mzqyo.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 220px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#4e5149; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .dixieemaay p b:before { content: open-quote; } .dixieemaay p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 02-18-2012
-chews on dixie- Saul could see the slight upset in Dixie's eyes and he smiled softly in encouragement. She would get there eventually, but there was a certain sense of setting oneself up for failure- Dixie was so small that Saul knew the larger bows that the instructor had given them was perhaps not the best idea for her. There was also very little he could do to help her- there were no smaller bows that she could try to help her out and his helping her would be counter productive. She seemed to want to help him however as they both watched his arrow thud into the white ring of the target. He allowed a frown to colour his face as Dixie moved the arrows closer to them. He would try again until he got the technique right. As he drew his bow, his torso stretching out once more, back straightening and arms settling into the now familiar strain the bow caused, she came behind him. .freebjuly02 b {font-weight:bold; color:#c39b6a; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; } .freebjuly02 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .freebjuly02 {margin:0 auto; width:462px; background-color:#cdbfb2; background-image:url(http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i32 ... bjuly2.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #796857; padding: 150px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#796857; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 422+
- Dixie-May Jackson - 02-18-2012
LOL so AWESOME+3 When the arrow sliced through the air and thunked into the target closer to the bull’s-eye, Dixie yipped and clapped her little hands together. Squirming around happily, she grabbed another arrow and held it up, ready for Saul to take another shot. He looked pleased with himself, as he should be, but instead of going to try again, he mentioned helping HER out. The little girl’s head pulled back slightly and she looked up at him with a curious look on her face. She wanted to help him do this; help him get good at the bows and arrows…because he had asked if she wanted to participate with him. Not many would have asked her to join. They would have just seen her small size and waved her off as a lost cause. Saul was able to see past her body and realize that she WAS a capable woman, able to do just as much, if not more, than the average sized Luperci. .dixieemaay b {font-weight:bold; color:#babeb5; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4b4d49; } .dixieemaay p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .dixieemaay {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#888985; background-image:url(http://i51.tinypic.com/2mzqyo.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 220px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#4e5149; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .dixieemaay p b:before { content: open-quote; } .dixieemaay p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 02-20-2012
they should blatantly have accidental drunken sex sometime, that would be hilarious! His arrow thudded successfully into the target and Dixie appeared to do a small victory dance. He watched with bemused eyes as she picked up another arrow, ready to thrust it towards him, when he suggested that he could help her out. It would be easy to continue with his shooting success, but that wasnt the point of this whole exercise. While it was a bonus that he was doing well, he'd also wanted to catch up with Dixie and see how she was doing. He could help her out just as much as she was helping him out and with a grin, he stooped down into a crouch behind her. She was smaller than him- her head just about came up to his chest, and it was easier than him standing and stooping. He took to the ground, his shoulders rolling once as he moved to encase her body with his own arms. He held the bow over her own hands, drawing it back with her as she spoke of her self doubt. "Shut your whinging, we're going to do this!'" .freebjuly02 b {font-weight:bold; color:#c39b6a; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; } .freebjuly02 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .freebjuly02 {margin:0 auto; width:462px; background-color:#cdbfb2; background-image:url(http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i32 ... bjuly2.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #796857; padding: 150px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#796857; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 435+
|
