- Gabriel de le Poer - 08-27-2008
MAJOR POWERPLAY. I figured at this point it was appropriate, but otherwise let me know and we can change it.
indent Everything came together as if it was a well rehearsed dance. Andre moved for him, then realized too late what their true intent had been. In a blur of gold, Anselm was on his half-brother, taking away his advantage, holding him like a living anchor. Then it was Corona moving, rushing the boy. Blood was on the ground and the sky was on fire. A triumphant, heckling laugh escaped Gabriel and his legs pushed against the ground, moving him with as much speed as he could muster. He could smell the blood and saw the opening, and dashed towards it. indent Gabriel reared up, slamming his paws into the boy’s chest. Their eyes locked and it was in that moment time stopped. He could see the first time Andre had looked at him like that, promising that he would reclaim the clan in his name. Even then, the Aquila had known that this would never come to pass. God’s purpose was undeniable, and no child would break His Word. As he stared into his brother’s eyes, eyes that were so much like his eyes, like Kaena’s eyes, he knew that this would be the end. His teeth closed around the throat and he felt the windpipe crush. Grinning, he yanked his head back, was sprayed with his half-brother’s blood, and knew that this was how it was supposed to be. - Faolin Mogotsi - 08-27-2008
- Corona Lykoi - 08-28-2008
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj31 ... ona/t8.png); background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> _____The life that spilled righteously out of Andrezej showered over all of them within range. Gabriel went from gold to red in the same manner that part of her face did, and though she couldn't see Anselm she was sure that he had gotten the same treatment. She had felt blood a number of times but this time it was significant. She closed her eyes and pulled her face back from the warm touch, slowly withdrawing her grip on his arm as she pulled the knife cleanly from his shoulder. By the time things had calmed down and his body lay on the ground, Corona surveyed what they had done. And she didn't feel a single thing despite being entranced for a moment by what they had done. Yet Faolin's voice had pulled her back to reality and the gold-haired Lykoi turned to look at the mother-daughter pair, ignoring the feel of Andrezej's blood running the length of her arm. It was all over. Everything is okay now, she thought, looking over her niece before casting a glance to Anselm and Gabriel. It was all over. - Talitha de le Poer - 08-28-2008
<style type="text/css"> .dohi strong {font:9pt Georgia; line-height:0.8em; letter-spacing:-1px; font-weight:bold;} </style> The coyote hybrid yowled again as the blade was driven down into his shoulder, and he felt the arm go limp and useless. Immediately he whirled and snapped his teeth as close to Corona's face as he could get them, but with Anselm tugging him in the opposite direction, a threat was all he posed. He knew he was screwed over the minute he turned to look back to Gabriel, but all he did was laugh. He laughed, and laughed, and laughed until the blood spurted forward and filled his mouth, and it cut off the horrible laughter and the screams of agony that had mixed together into a sickening chorus. Yes, he was dying — there was no way to survive that — but he'd find some way. He'd have Inferni yet. The madness in his eyes died first. In that instant was clarity; he knew he shouldn't have opposed anyone here. What had he had to gain from it? That was only momentarily as he slumped forward and, with one of his last breaths, whispered, God can fuck you, Gaby. He saw the girl wince in the background, covered by her mother but able to hear everything that went on, and he chuckled again, blowing blood bubbles as he did. And that was it; he winked out of existence and every muscle in his body gave one last shudder before dropping control. Talitha, of course, had heard everything. She had heard the snapping of bone and the thud of the knife on the sand. She had heard his yowls. She had heard the sound of that same blade sinking into flesh, the fresh agony sweet on the air, and even though she was somewhat transfixed by her mother's return, it was like she'd been there all along. Everything was too surreal for her to properly comprehend the significance. Ezekiel? He would find her and would notice how pathetic she'd become and he would laugh. She almost didn't even want to see her brother anytime soon; she was glad he wasn't there now. She had seen the blood. It had been a lot, and she could look between all their legs to see the dead man on the ground and the crimson sand. No doubt everybody had it on them. She shuddered at the thought and swallowed bile, hoping to keep the meager contents of her thin stomach down. I-is he g-gone? - Faolin Mogotsi - 08-28-2008
- Gabriel de le Poer - 09-02-2008
indent The laughter cut through his skull like a bullet. It made his eyes go dead, took him back to a time that he no longer wished to remember, and then the voice brought him back. Like a wildfire the fury boiled through his blood, hatred darkening his eyes until they were nearly a different color. With blood still covering his coat and the sinew stuck between his teeth, he spat and cast a glance toward Anselm as he went off, only to be startled by Rachias charging forward. She dropped to the sand and enveloped the boy with her body. Motioning for Faolin and Talitha to leave, he remained where he was. He didn’t say anything. He couldn’t; this was the second brother he had taken from her within the year. - Corona Lykoi - 09-02-2008
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj31 ... ona/t8.png); background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> _____She was in the process of leaving when someone had called out at all of them. It surprised her, both in expression and mentally, to see Rachias running out to where Andrezej had fallen. Where they had intended to leave him. Though Anselm kept continuing on and Gabriel motioned Faolin and Talitha away, she lingered for a few seconds more, watching her younger sister weep while her emotions fought each other. Giving a weary glance to Gabriel, she frowned, but kept going. If there was going to be any discussion, it was better between the two of them, who had much more of a history together without her involved. Though it pained her to turn away and continue forward, she knew there would be a time and a place that she would see Rachias again. - Talitha de le Poer - 09-04-2008
*closes*<style type="text/css"> .block strong {font:9pt Georgia; line-height:1.2em; font-weight:bold; letter-spacing:-1px;} </style>
|
