Also short, sorry T.T
What are you going to do with it? asked the other male. Daisuke had noticed that the male had slightly less of a hard time taking apart the skull to where it was nothing but bone. He had a silver sharp instrument that Daisuke had never really seen before. Daisuke pointed at it. What's that? he asked, totally not afraid to speak to the male, and ask what he was using. Daisuke was one of the more sheltered wolves, so he was unaware of human stuff. He had never even heard of humans until he came to this place and everyone else had known about them. That's when he returned his concern to the boy's question. Oh and since I travel a lot, I decided that I'm going to use it. There's endless uses for it, I mean, I can even fight with it, ya' know? the boy spoke, nodding his head lightly to the other male and smiling to him.
Daisuke then opened his maw to speak once again. What are you going to do with yours? he asked, very curious about what the male might do with his own pike. Oceanic orbs were on the sandy male. Again, Daisuke was sure to look over his features. To notice what was so different about the male from himself. There were differences and then there were similarities. It made him wonder more on why the coyotes and the wolves had a problem if they were almost the same. Would he ever accept the fact that the wolves and the coyotes had problems? Probably not. That meant that Inferni would see more of him.

- Snake - 11-19-2009
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x242 ... ntable.png); background-color:#ffffff; background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; text-align:justify;"> At first, Snake didn’t know what Daisuke meant, and it took a glance to realize that he was speaking about the knife clenched in his hand. It was not a relic—made nearly completely of stainless steel with a grid-patterned grip and a serrated blade, it perhaps belonged to a human soldier before it fell into the hands of his mother. Being a coyote that grew up in the skeleton of a human city, the ignorance of the previous rulers of this world was a little strange to Snake, but he didn’t mind it. “It’s a knife. Humans didn’t have teeth or claws, so they created these to substitute—they are definitely useful, for fighting and otherwise.” While Snake’s knifework was not nearly as skillful as his mother’s (Nikita could dazzle the eyes with the blade), it was definitely worth mention. He worked on it often. With that exegesis given, he continued to work on the surface of the skull, scraping away the grimy surface to the whiter bone beneath. It was during this labor that Daisuke explained he would use the staff as a walking stick and whatever else necessary, and the young coyote nodded; it was certainly a good idea. He finished cleaning the skull as much as he could (he would wash it in the ocean later, he assumed) and began to idle-mindedly bring the tip of the knife along the surface. A few moments later, he had sketched a very primitive-looking version of his namesake onto the crown of the skull—a twisting snake, or what looked like it. Snake was not creative usually, so this surprised him. It took him a moment to reply to Daisuke’s next question. “After I clean it a little more, I’m going to put it up on the borders of Inferni.” He didn’t have any personal use for it; he lived in the corpse of an ancient automobile, unlike Daisuke, who seemed to live wherever he wanted to for the night. Snake had lived that life before, and he thought he liked having a place to return to a little more. He wiped the knife off on a relatively clean patch of damp grass and then slipped it into its case behind his back. The sandy-furred coyote then stood, picking up the skull in one hand and the stick in the other. table credit goes to jacoby
It’s a knife. Humans didn’t have teeth or claws, so they created these to substitute—they are definitely useful, for fighting and otherwise. the male spoke to him, answering his question. Daisuke watched the boy's face, watching each word fall off the tongue of the boy's friend. His tail wagged gently. It does look like it is easier to use. Maybe I'll find one of those for myself sometime. he spoke, smiling lightly before he looked at his own skull. He didn't have any twine at the moment, so he couldn't secure the skull onto it's perch, but he figured he'd just wait until later to do so. Again silence dropped between the two, the other male carving something into the skull. Daisuke watched intently before he looked at his own skull that he was holding. He couldn't carve anything in it because he didn't have the tool for it. He shrugged lightly, he could always find some pretty feathers, or flowers to put onto the skull when he had the time. His face held a smile as he looked down at it. He still needed to take disconnect the jaw, and find a way to get into the brain out of it's protective shell without having to break it. He flipped it over and then looked at if from that angle.
He decided that his fingers were too fat to pull it out, so he needed a stick. He would more than likely deal with it later. For now, he shrugged and looked back at the boy and his artwork on his skull. That looks cool. A snake it looks like. A snake...Hehe, it's you! The male giggled lightly at the realization. After I clean it a little more, I’m going to put it up on the borders of Inferni. the male finally spoke. Daisuke smiled. Really? If I ever come back, I'll be sure to try and find it. the male spoke, chuckling lightly before he watched the other male stand. Daisuke found himself too getting up. Oceanic orbs were on the male before he looked to the west. He wondered if the male would want to adventure on more, or if the male wanted to go back home. He looked back at the male before his maw opened to speak once again. Snake...You wanna still hang out? Or does Inferni need you back within the lands? he asked, his eyes focused on the male, slightly hoping the male would want to wander around with him, but thinking that he might want to end this meeting as soon as possible. After all, the two species were having conflict, and for Snake to be with Daisuke was probably something that was against his own morality.

- Snake - 11-27-2009
Snake did prize the things that his mother gave to him when they left New Haven. He almost never took off his bandanna—not even while sleeping, because it made an excellent blindfold if the stars rendered it a bright night—and her knife had proved invaluable in plenty of times. Sure, he could use tooth and claw to aid him when he needed sharp implements, but it was much easier with the knife. And much cleaner. When Daisuke mentioned that he might want one, Snake replied, “You should try around the ruins of the human city. My mom found this knife in one of them.” She had actually found this military-style knife in the same building where her mate at the time, Patriot, had found three handguns. None of these were functional after the years, but the tyrant treasured them all the while. But that was a story for another time. The golden wolf wandered over and took a look at his handiwork, the small etching on the surface of the skull. Somewhat embarrassed, the coyote scratched the back of his head. “’S nothing,” he muttered gruffly, any artistic aspect awkward to him. He did get a shred of amusement from the mental image of Daisuke peering at every skull-tipped stake on the borders of Inferni… Until he thought about the wolf being too close to the borders. Snake’s stomach knotted. He didn’t want Daisuke anywhere near here; it was dangerous. He had heard of what they did to trespassing wolves—and seen, too. The skulls, the first things he had seen in Inferni. The Hastati recognized the time as well, and looked back towards home. As Daisuke asked what they were to do now, Snake frowned. “I think I need to start heading back. I’ve got some things I need to do before crashing tonight.” The first and foremost was food—he would probably have to shift to his wolf form to hunt for provender, which meant he would have to sleep in it tonight. Great. He hated sleeping in his canine forms. “You can—You can come again if you want, though. Just make sure you call for me from beyond the borders. Don’t come inside again.” He would extend this tentative friendship to this odd wolf, but he didn’t want him coming into Inferni grounds again. It was too dangerous, and for both of them. Daisuke’s species gave him away, and Snake would not want to be branded someone who compromised the security of the coyote clan. He took the stick and skull in hand, with thoughts of finishing them and hunting tonight. He would put the skull up in the morning. table credit goes to jacoby
- Snake - 11-28-2009 Sure! We could probably set it in Halifax, and powerplay that they had met up + went there, ect. (:
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x242 ... ython1.png); background-color:#000000; background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; text-align:justify;"> Snake had passed the ruins of Halifax while coming in to the lands of ‘Souls. He had come from the western fringes of the territory, skirting countless wolf packs until he had found the grounds of Inferni. The familiar scents of coyotes drew him in, and so he had joined with them. Halifax hadn’t really impressed him—it was kind of like New Haven, except abandoned. He was sure that there was a lot in there worth adventuring for, so he did offer Daisuke a somewhat mirthless smile when the wolf grew enthused on the idea. Snake was definitely interested in searching the ruins, but perhaps not as much as his newfound friend. If Daisuke was overenthusiastic, Snake was absolutely listless. He shrugged his strong shoulders at the wolf’s insistence on the etching meaning something. Snake wasn’t so sure, but whatever floated his boat. He looked back up to see that the golden-furred wolf seemed upset that they had to part ways now, but Snake knew that he couldn’t let him come anywhere near Inferni. “Alright,” he answered, though he secretly knew that he wouldn’t call unless totally necessary. Snake wasn’t exactly someone who rang up a friend just to chat. At the prospect of him accompanying Snake to the borders, the Hastati had to shake his head. “No, that’s a bad idea,” he voiced solemnly. “If anyone noticed your scent and followed it to the borders, they might still be there. And then we’d both be in deep.” The justification was a real worry for Snake. If someone met with him and asked, would he have to say that he had ran off a wolf from the territory? That would be lying, as Snake had amiably escorted him away. “I think it’s best if I simply head home alone. I’ll see you later, though.” He offered another half-smile before dipping his head and beginning home, the forked stick in one hand and the skull—still in need of refinement—in the other. table credit goes to jacoby
