Big Grin

Heath balanced the hares as he walked into the kitchen, and thoughts just danced round the Crimson Dreams leader once more. He was suddenly hopeful, and even wished that Savina would forget the whole thing so that he could too. He had stopped thinking the way, the way he was that day they fought, a long time ago. And it was about time he stopped avoiding those that lived there, he knew well how pack relations were important and perhaps he could reconnect.

Ruri quickly diverted his thoughts from the ebony leader and back to their little home and family. The orange cat had followed them into the kitchen, his kill in his mouth, tail waving in the air like a victory banner. Heath had witnessed the baths that the cat took, and at first he had found it so odd, and so invasive that he had not been able to watch. But it was only normal feline behavior. He guessed. “He’s good to keep the rodents away from the cabin. I think it’s the only reason they stick around the stables, there are always lots of mice.” He explained, glancing at the cat that twirled between his foot-paws as he tried to walk.

Just as they always did, the two settled with the roasted hared between them. Heath took a moment to watch her, as he often did, and before he ate he said something that only he could hear. It was unlike him, and Heath knew it, but some might call it a prayer. Grateful for every bit that life had given him, despite anything that it had taken. It lasted only a moment, and as she spoke Heath gave a grander smile then his face had been fortunate enough to feel since he arrived home. “Its wonderful.” he spoke, though he had yet to eat a single bit. He always liked anything she made, though his tongue wasn’t known to be particular.

“The weather is warming, we should take the horses out soon. Stark missed you.” He teased slightly. Stark was a thick horse, but if there was any canine that moved him it was Ruri.
