Caillen is in the process of becoming a loner, which explains the bit below :3 And you do not suck! That was a lurvely post.

Because her straw-gold eyes were watching him intently, Caillen busied his large clawed hands in the folds of his scarf, wicked claws innocently picking at small twigs that had lodged in the checkered material. He was afraid to meet her gaze; Afraid that he mightn't be able to look away. Afraid because women were unpredictable, and he seemed a magnetic for their impressive mood-swings. Not wanting to be rude, the gentle giant peeped up at her question, managing an offhand shrug.

"I dinna ken, lady," He said honestly, sky-blue eyes drifting out hazily to the woodland around them, "I might. But... But the itch, it has me; Perhaps I did leave for good, and just didn't ken it at the time." The words were simple, but surprisingly firm, as if the youth had suddenly made an important decision. A meager weight seemed lifted off his shoulders. He had left everything behind, and it had been like shedding baggage - Only loyalty and love for his mother would be strong enough to lure the young man back to his supposed pack, sooner or later. But freedom called to him now, and were it not for the niggling to see the world, perhaps he might never have met the alluring lady Love. Drawn back to the present, owlish blue eyes were drawn back to Clover's seated form, a moth to the flame of her slender prettiness.

Bewitched by her voice, the oafish Romeo listened acutely to Clover's words, picturing in his minds eye a hazy figure of some distant family of hers. Juniper Peace. He condemned the title to memory, smiling at the reclining lady with boyish charm. Oh, the things he was learning in this place! He knew of the presence of other packs, other groups such as her Juniper Peace, but never before had he ventured alone from Cour des Miracles packland. He longed to see these other packs, see how they lived, see who they harbored. Perhaps he'd find some solace, ease the itch, if he wandered far enough. The restless soul considered his female companion curiously a moment, before speaking.

"Your Father, miss? You dinnae ken him?" Perhaps they had something in common, then. If she wished to find her family, the boy gauged that maybe he could be of some assistance - Protection, if nothing else, for his Mama would say it t'wasn't fitting for a lady to travel alone through woods like this. And what the boy lacked in fighting prowess, he could certainly make up in intimidating size. Caillen had never had to fight for his life before, of for anything he held dear, but to be certain a formidable sight he would make. "How long hae you been wandering out here, alone?" Brogue was quieter now, not wanting to offend her by insinuating that she mightn't be able to hold her own in a place such as this. It was highly likely the lithe fairy-lady had better fighting skills than the mottled wolfdog, after all.
