creating something out of nothing

Straw eyes watched interestedly as he spoke, though there was something in his words that made it sound as if he were speaking out loud to himself, rather than in response to Clover; something in his tone to make it seem as if he had just come to some realization. His gaze had been diverted away, most likely absentmindedly studying the scenery, but Clover’s did not leave him now. She wondered what the boy’s story was, and it took her a few moments to detangle his words and truly appreciate their meaning. At the same time, she again wondered about the origin of his curious style of speech.

The cool colored eyes flicked back to her when she spoke of Juniper Peace. At his questions, Clover merely shrugged. In some ways, she didn’t know her father. There was still much about him that she needed to learn, though she wasn’t sure if Razekiel would be willing to tell. "I’ve meet him before, if that’s what you mean. He lived in Juniper Peace for awhile, before he came to this area." Things she didn’t know about him was what scared her the most. Was Razekiel a murderer, as some had suggested? Clover just couldn’t bring herself to blame him for the death of her sister, even if he had disappeared from the group the same night. She just didn’t want to accept that he was capable of such a thing. Caillen’s next question brought her away from her thoughts, though, and Clover was grateful for that. If her mind remained on the tangent idea of her deceased sister for too long, she was sure tears would begin to spring forth.

"A couple of months now." She had arrived in Nova Scotia in the month of May, and had been floating around ever since. She just couldn’t bring herself to seek out Razekiel, and yet she couldn’t leave either. For now, she remained rooted to the area and continued to live alone in Drifter Bay. It was so vastly different from Juniper Peace that Clover often found herself bored literally to tears when there was no one around to converse with. "It gets lonely, love." She didn’t mean it as a warning, but perhaps in some ways it was.
