thank you for starting this <3!

This was all his mother's wishes. For Alder would never leave the packlands unless she spoke the command.

But it had been a request, simple in fact and sweet as she always was. Still Alder heard the disappointment that was held in her heart, or perhaps it was fear, or just concern. Alder could not decipher it, but when he came to her with tears in his eyes after shifting for the first time he had seen the sorrow in her. She was sad, and he made her so. The masked boy asked what he could do, pleaded for an answer and she simply told him to seek out his brother. But not the one of his litter, the older and bravest of his mothers children.

It felt like the greatest of journeys, kissing the cheek of his mother and setting out as if he may never return. As odd as if felt for the young male to leave Crimson Dreams he felt comforted coming to the borders of his brother's pack. Between in the neutral lands he had been frightened, traveling only under the light of the Sun and hiding away in as soon as darkness neared. Though he had stepped into the lands with hesitation he walked beneath the banner of friendship that he mother had passed to him.

A leader would know he was of the Dreaming pack, and ask what it was he looked for here. Haven was their knight, all would know his name and so Alder's fears were slight. The smells were overwhelming, having never been in another claimed land he figured that this was what his home was like to strangers entering it. It had not stopped his Inferni father, should it stop him now?

Black paws walked across the frosted ground, a scent that was familiar to him floated atop the pack fragrance. It was the horse that brought the memories back, less the wolfen rider that accompanied him. Alder did not speak, when the two came into view. He swallowed hard, thinking of the black armed rider that he had met not long ago. He was of the Cours pack as well, he had been supportive in his moment of need and had opened his eyes up to a world beyond the Manor's door. Perhaps it was not his mother's pushing that had gotten him to leave but that male's encouraging words.

Blue eyes looked on, still in his stance on four legs, and stared at the large black stallion and his rider.
