He wanted Liliana, there was no question about that. His body and his heart knew what it wanted, but his mind was getting in the way. The curse of over-thinking things was rearing its ugly head again. Nayati often wished there was some way that he could just switch his brain off sometimes, in times like these. There were so many occasions that it seemed to just get in the way. It was why he had taken so long in asking Lili to be his mate, because he had thought about everything that could have happened over and over again. Nayati didn't want his over-active thoughts getting in the way tonight. He needed to do his best to suppress his thoughts and just do what felt right, even if he didn't know if it was right or not.

Her smile did a great deal in making his worries go away. She trusted him, but she also knew that he knew as little about all this as she did. She would understand if he didn't do things exactly right, just as he knew there was the same margin of error on her end. They were mates now. They shared an unconditional love. With that behind them, whatever else they needed would work out. Especially this. The lick made another shock run down the course of his spine and the grin on her face made heat rise to his cheeks. It took him a moment, but he caught her idea as she looked between him and the bed of furs. Her hands finding their way lower was the final push he needed. Nayati picked Liliana up in his arms and lovingly lay her on their marriage bed. He smiled brightly at her as he lay himself down next to her, his lips once again seeking her own for a kiss, a hand coming to rest on the curve of her side.
