The pale boy glanced at his acquaintance as he spoke in a slight slur and smiled slyly, deeply amused by the way marijuana was affecting J'adore. He was unaware that marijuana could alter one's speech, although he was no expert. He barely remembered his own behavior during his first high — smoking out of Cotl's gas mask had really hit him hard, but he did not recall speaking any differently. The affect probably depended on the individual. Kansas could not think of another explanation for J'adore's reaction, but he definitely thought it was funny.

It was frustrating to have so much in his mind yet be unable to voice any of it, when he so wanted to immediately vent his confusion about where they all had came from, and why they were here.
