While the will to dominate was strong within her, she was wise enough to know her limits. Wiser still to recognize those who had the potential to open doorways to her goals. Tlanti was one such figure, for by learning patience she had been gifted a secret language. It seemed now that Sirius, despite his way with words, wanted something from her as well. Adults so often forget that children are far more adapt at reading things, for children are great pretenders themselves.
Yet favorite stroked her ego, and favorite put her on a pedestal. Had she been a cat, she would have purred. Instead, her green eyes darkened as the pupil widened with rising excitement. “Almost five months,” she said proudly, knowing that this meant she was encroaching on adulthood.
