Crashing Of Waves, Meeting Of Hearts

OOC here!

The shadow lowered himself down at Hadley's words. Amazement filled his face as the tail wagged, warring with the fear inside him. When monsters were happy it was always because pain was to follow. That didn't seem to be the case though. A soft whimper lifted up, catching at Hadley's ears. He managed to unfreeze, and crouched low to the ground, keeping himself submissive before the other. Any challenge could end in him being injured. Hadley wasn't brave enough to risk such a thing. Submission was what these demons sought, power over those around them.

It was too bad for Shadow that Hadley's mind processed things in the order of how dangerous they were to him. The words chase, enemy, and hurt were caught, but not the negatives attached to them. A small whimper escaped him as Hadley remained still. There could be no chase if he didn't move, after all. As long as he did what the black wolf wanted of him, he'd be just fine. The words about having a heart tugged at Hadley's ears. No... It wasn't true. Demons didn't have hearts. They couldn't.
