Panic shot through Hadley as the noise of someone crashing through the bushes reached him. Selene stepped out, her eyes blazing. A sword was drawn from her back, and again Hadley saw the connection between her and Amy. Trapped between a demon and a monster Hadley froze up again. After a few moments the hybrid placed the sword away, apologizing for her actions. Mutely he shook his head, quickly cutting across the border where he sat down, looking at the ground. Maybe they'd forget he was there.
The black wolf introduced himself as Shadow, a name that rung through his ears. The name fit the beast to a tee. Hadley wished Amy had such a clearly dark name. Maybe then he wouldn't have fallen for her trap, and he wouldn't have so much pain. It had happened though. Numbly he listened as Shadow spoke, taking his place as a quiet shadow, only making himself known if needed. He looked up briefly when addressed, fear showing before nodding his head and dropping his gaze back down. He wouldn't do anything to stand in the monster's way.
