sweet and sour

Firefly stared up at the male from her crouching position, her sharp angry eyes watching him as he spoke, the hurt and pain was plain as day slapped across his face. The two little words he spoke did little to sooth her and yet she figured that perhaps once maybe the stranger wasn't lying. She took one hesitant step forward as she lowered her lips slowly to cover her fangs. Suddenly it seemed like there was no reason to keep up her front because with one simple shrug of a shoulder the stranger was turning to disappear.

Her ears perked forward as she stared at his turning backside in confusion. Had he really been telling the truth, was he really just a stranger out on a autumn stroll. She couldn't tell but somehow she felt a little bit guilty for the treatment she'd dished out upon the poor fellow. Raising to her paws she called out, "I'm.. sorry.. wait." The girl was desperate for someone to talk to and yet she wanted to be alone so much. She was being torn in a million directions and just felt like screaming. Firefly knew she could be making a major mistake but she did it anyways.
