Geneva followed behind Anu, purposefully a step or two behind her. She moved slowly, letting the taste of the wine roll around her mouth before she swallowed it. It was a little bitter at first, and she fought the urge to curl her tongue away from the human liquid. But the initial taste died down for something subtly flavorful. It felt warm going down her throat. The gray wolfess cocked her head to the side. What an odd drink.

Stepping out onto the deck, she was shocked by how the temperature had changed and how clean the air felt in her lungs. The room within the lighthouse had been dusty, stuffy and warm. The air almost burned her lungs the way the wine had burned her tongue at first. Maybe because she hardly dared to breathe when she was so close to her blue-eyed friend.

Geneva smiled as Anu took her first drink. She followed her almost mindlessly, the desire to be close to her overpowering her conscious thought about moving. She came back to Anu's side, leaning against the railing on her elbows. Her shoulder brushed Anu's as she leaned out, her lime green eyes wide, sweeping over the sky and the ocean. "It seems, so...endless!"
