Looking out in the vast sky Anu watched the dark clouds move, and listened to the ocean swell and recede below them. It was endless, the sky, the water and horizon. There was notion of its ending, and the thought made her speechless. Nodding her head slowly she once again thought of how small they all truly were. Mindlessly she took a sip of wine before passing the bottle.
Anu leaned to knock her shoulder against Geneva’s, softly waking herself and her friend from the captivation. Can you believe that there is beauty like this, just sitting around waiting for us to find it? A smile dawned her face as she felt the excitement of their discovery. Of course it had all just been here, the lighthouse and everything surrounding it, and they were certainly not the first to climb its spiral stairs. But it was still something to celebrate.
