Broken Soul Heated Mind
#13
Firefly had watched from a distance that day when Cercelee had cleaned out Svara's den. The deed that the woman was doing was cruel and pathetic in her eyes. They thought that she was the childish one but she knew better. They might be better at covering their childish actions but they weren't guilt free. She'd waited til the Rosea had finished scrubbing the presence of the yearling from the pack's face. After she'd made sure the woman was done she'd gone back to collect the items that the coldhearted leader had placed back into the pack's collections. She had ventured out into the woods to collect the scraps and private articles of Svara's things.

She had been in the area when Svara had showed up, she knew the girl was a bit foolish to do such but she would not speak of it. When Cercelee appeared Firefly had removed herself from the area and returned to her den to retrieve the items that the pack had thought they had got rid of forever. She was quick in returning but she was not happy in what she found. All three of the leaders had thought that their presence was needed to remove a cripple youth. She snorted at the sight of them and trotted past the leaders, not caring what they might have to say to her.

She'd already said her goodbyes to the only souls that mattered anymore within the lands and if she would be punished for her simple kindness to the unwanted yearling then so be it. "Svara!" she called as she left the leaders behind. She had not expected to see another along the borders but when she caught sight of Slay she nodded silently as she dropped the bundle between them.
