Catherine watched lazily to the male doing his work. Generally speaking, it didn't hurt. Just a little pinch, while he changed the old herbs for new ones, and particularly when he attached a new cloth. The way he tied it up forced a grimace. It got a bit numb after that, but she didn't care. It wasn't a bothering numb. A good one, actually.

His question got her on short. It seemed the medic could even read minds. She hesitated for two seconds until she replied. Honestly...? she said, with a low, timed voice, an embarassed face forming up. Even her ears pulled back a little. No. she finished, her ashamed fading quickly into a very sheepish face. The grayish female looked at him from below, her face down. For her, it was extremely stupid to not know more about the packlands. The very ones she protected and loved, scouting the borders with such care. She should take more breaks from her job to wander around more, just for pleasure to do so.
