The mother couldn't help but laugh lightly at the excited greeting from her children. There were few things in this world more delightful than being welcomed home by your own pups. As they ran up to her she leaned her head down, giving both of them a lick on the top of their heads. "Hello my two beautiful girls," she said nuzzling her muzzled against their small forms, her tail waving in the background. "A new friend?" That was odd, she hadn't seen any other pups. Her eyes scanned the area again, but found that there was no one else in sight. What were they making friends with she wondered. It seemed that question would be answered quickly as the two of them bounced back to where they had been sitting, talking to something laying in the grass.

Savina delicately stepped over to join them, her eyes finding the prone and still form of a butterfly at the feet of her pups. Oh dear... It was obvious that the two girls had no idea that the butterfly was dead. But why should they? They had no concept of death, they were too young for such things. But it seemed that the explanation of that darker side of the world was coming quicker than she had anticipated. She knew it would upset them, and for that she was sorry. She knew her gentle daughters had had no intention of hurting the bug. The raven woman took a seat, smiling softly at her pups. "Did you two catch the butterfly with your mouths or your paws?" She was certain they must have, there was no other way they could. Once they were older and could shift she could show them how to gently catch one with their hands, but that was a ways off.
