She could feel her pup's tears soak her ebony fur and it was the saddest shower that she had ever felt. It was amazing how her children's mood could so easily effect her own. Everything had been fine but now she felt almost as sad as they did. Of course her eyes stayed dry and she didn't let on. They needed her to be calm and strong for them. Still, now it was her mission to make them feel better. It was a sad and hard lesson and she expected them to react in no other way, but now she just wanted them to feel better about it. They were wracked with guilt over killing the butterfly and she needed to alleviate that for them. They were such good girls and she knew they wouldn't hurt a fly, not intentionally.

Savina watched her girls as they took in the sight of the toy she had picked out for them. They approached cautiously, as if it were as delicate as the real thing. As sad as the situation was, that was endearing. They wanted to make sure that it was alright and they weren't about to hurt anything else. "Yes, it's perfectly okay to touch her." She reached forward and squeezed one of the plush wings, demonstrating that it was indeed a toy and couldn't be harmed. "It's a toy, a stuffed animal. You can play as roughly or as softly with it as you want and it won't ever get hurt. You can play with this butterfly until you're older and can shift, then I can show you how to handle real butterflies. You can do that when you have hands." The mother watched with anticipation, hoping to see their faces become at least a little more happy and less sorrowful.
