His cunning plan was working! The cow stopped paying attention to it as he moved around it in a circle, getting up behind it. Excitement flew through the boy's body as he stood still, observing the strange creature who called itself Moo. Its tail did a sort of wagging movement, but it took him only moments to conclude that it was also targeting flies. Well not targeting, perhaps, but at least aiming to make them go away. That's what he did with his own ears sometimes, when the flies sat on his head because he was laying still. Flies tickled and were annoying, and no doubt Moo thought the same. The tail swung from side to side, and sometimes it hung there still, too, and Emwe's eyes followed it in fascination. It was a strange tail, thin and weird, not fluffy like his own. But there was some hair on it on the tip, though the boy failed to see the uses of such a little tassel. His head cocked to the side, the boy remained still, but only for a moment.

Taking some steps closer to the Moo, he tested his ground, but as nothing happened immediately, he could only assume the thing had stopped noticing him altogether. Actually, when looking at it, it seemed to be doting on the grass all around them. Yuck - who would want to eat that stuff! It was.. green and stuff, and probably not tasty. Red things, meat, were tasty. Green was a silly color. His attention was again directed at the swishing tail, the little tuft of hair at its end moving so invitingly. Suddenly, he was overwhelmed by the impulse of grabbing that tail, and lunged himself in its direction, paws open and ready to grab it. His intention was play, but he'd not taken into account that the Moo might not agree.
