Gotham kept tight to his uncle's side, as if he were his shadow. His head kept low to the ground, occasionally flicking his azure eyes up to Ehno's head. Sometimes the pup felt as if he could be more sneaky if his eyes were not such a strange color. It was very easy to see them when the place he was trying to hide was dark, like his fur. If his eyes were brown or black he would be even more like a shadow, and perhaps even sneakier. He would just have to practice and be extra sneaky to make up for his obvious eyes, though, and since Amata had commented that he had cool blue eyes he didn't mind them so much. His creamy colored sister was always boosting his confidence, even if she didn't know it!

As they grew even closer to the odd building, Gotham stared in awe. Vines wrapped around the concrete walls, reclaiming them in a net of green, and it seemed possible that the plant was the only thing holding it together. The chatter of birds in the forest around them sounded distanct, as if it was pulled away, and the silence of the odd abandoned buildings seemed tangible and viscous. The quiet squeak of the door made the pup jump just a little bit, his eyes moving down from the decrepit roof of the building to where the larger wolf was holding the door ajar. Shaking off his hesitance, Gotham scuttled through the door, giving his uncle a wide-eyed grin as he passed him. The building seemed rather eerie inside, which added to the boy's excitement.

The ebony puppy was rather sensitive to how words were used, and his inherent bias towards monsters made Ehno's use of the word 'hide' even more thrilling. He took a few quiet steps down the hallway, the dust on the checkered floor muffling the sound of his footfall quite nicely, before turning his head over his shoulder to look at his uncle. "Pensi che ci siano dei mostri?" Though this was a slightly frightening idea, the boy grinned a little as he turned his head forward again. The doors that lined the hallway were quite mysterious, and so was the corner and open seeming area at the other end from where the two wolves had entered. What an adventure this would be!
