I am making Kae about 2 months here, so it should be right after she got all beat up by Delphine. She's starting to go a little crazy but she's not totally out of whack yet. 
Kairo hasn't started abusing her yet, either, but yeah.
Where the hell was she? The timid youth trotted forward, her brilliant golden eyes peering around at the strange territory. It was unlike anything she'd ever seen or smelled before; she knew she was far from home. Whining to herself softly, the coyote hybrid trotted forward still, having no idea where she was going or which way was home. She wished sorely her father was around; she would feel so much better. Maybe out here her mother was still around out here somewhere. Kaena couldn't help but think that, even if she had seen the golden-furred woman die. Death. Just thinking that word elicited a twitch from the hybrid, a startled half-jump sideways, as if he were reaching for her there. The small pup heard a noise nearby, a loud thunk that drew her attention immediately. It didn't sound dangerous, and Kaena's puppyish curiosity took over for a moment as she ran forward, investigating the noise to find a rather strange-looking creature. It had hooves, which made it prey—but it was small, like her! It didn't look like any prey she'd ever seen before, and she stared for a moment, utterly dumbfounded.
