Anu placed herself into the mind of the male they spoke of, as much as she could. The turmoil that he must be in, for that was the first thing Anu felt as she imagined. The pain that was already spread through out, the unknowing, the impossibility of such a decision. It was dark and clouded, and Anu did not even try to think she could understand. She would never want to know or to understand what either of them where feeling. She had already been through her own betrayal and abandonment. It was too hard, to sharp a pain. Anu placed a hand on the fey’s shaking shoulder. But there were no words for her to express, only a presence that was needed. They both knew the possibilities; they both knew the odds and what the outcomes could be. Why try to say she knew what Savina was going through? It was hard to imagine what it would be like to have such a bond with her brothers. She had been sure long ago that she would never see them again, and she had been the one to leave in the first place.

Her light and gentle touch smoothed the fur along the dark hued female’s shoulder. Blue eyes held her own threatening tears, fighting them back with a strength that she did not know she possessed. Anu would miss Ehno if he left, but her fear, her sadness would never touch that of the male’s sister. She had loved him their entire lives. Through all the deep-rooted anger, Anu could still see the power that would be forged between Naniko and the Marino male with the birth of the litter and it was something she feared would poison them all. Why did they continuously suffer? If Savina was broken by this, there would be nothing Anu could do for her. At this moment she didn’t even have words left to comfort her, what would she do then? The Commander shivered, as if a cold had suddenly taken hold of her water soaked coat.

The older woman looked down at the fallen leader. Her heart was sore, her voice running from her and unlikely to be caught. Anu moved forward, and as she would one of the wolves she loved and called her own she pressed her nose against the dark females fore head. Her voice could run no more and she spoke softly the only thought that could come. “Don’t think it. You know he loves you” He won’t go, he won’t abandon the family that would never abandon him.
