Ears did not perk as they caught the light voice of Mew Sadira. He heard the female’s subtle soul in her voice and knew that she had changed. Mew was miserable no more. He thought he would have been happy for her when discovering that she had finally found something more concrete to live and breathe for. He felt nothing. Sometimes he just had to wonder why she still had the strength to call him brother without letting grimaces swallow her face. Dexter, however, seemed to inhabit mixed feelings now with his mother calling for him. Theirs eyes were still connected, but the boy’s body was slowly turning towards wherever his mother’s voice came from.

Mew then appeared and the demonic lilium let his gaze slowly climb to meet her leaf green eyes. Had he known that she was pregnant? His mind buzzed with this question, but if he ever had then someone had filtered that fact out unnoticed. It was impossible to claim that he held no knowledge about the birth though – such occurrences travelled fast because there were cute, fluffy puppies to stare stupidly at for those who enjoyed that. Haku did not. Ears folded in silent reluctance as his sister had to go through some of this Dexter’s cousins. He just managed to control his facial expression when Colibri’s name sounded –twice!- and he just wanted to explode into a flurry of fangs and claws.

The secui had to look up at his sister, found that he did not particularly like it. He bought an extra moment of silence by bringing his gaze down to the little snot by his mother’s side. Puppies were a nuisance, but would one day strengthen the pack in more ways than merely numbers. Haku had made a mistake with his children: he had treated like what he knew they were: garbage. Now, he did not admit his flaws because of the obvious lack of moral. No, it was because his children would remember. He would see no steadfast loyalty in either of them.

”Are there more?” the male asked rather stupidly, determined to investigate this litter to make sure there were no disgusting runts. A “hug” was very far away from the male’s mind.
