He knew that Heath wasn't the most sociable person there was, especially not in groups. Haven only really did slightly better himself, and it depended greatly upon the precise situation. When it came it his duty to the pack or something he felt strongly about, he had no problems raising his voice and letting his thoughts be known. When things strayed from those realms though he too was mostly content to sit back and observe quietly. When it came to pack business, he spoke more with his actions than his words. This would be a small gathering though, and one he was sure they would all enjoy.
The comment had been made in jest, but there was a grain of truth to it. He had never harbored any feelings other than friendship towards Ruri, but it really wouldn't have been a surprise if the two friends had fallen for the same girl. Haven could only imagine what that would have been like, and the picture was a little ugly in his mind. The Knight was very thankful that they had never faced that situation, because honestly it was hard to say if their friendship would have survived. That hadn't happened though, and so such thoughts were unnecessary. "That's only because I wasn't paying you back for last time," he said with a wink. "You're right though, we both have things to attend to." Giving Heath one more playful grin he turned back to retrieve his sword and start up where he had left off.
